Dr. Elizabeth Blair founded DescaidTM in 2010 to provide software and ergonomic products that help prevent and alleviate pain from time spent in front of a computer. Whether professional or home computer user, customers rave about their improved experience after using DescaidTM‘s products. DescaidTM encourages strategic partnerships and group licensing to more efficiently distribute products and ease more people’s lives.
DESCAIDTM was created for people who spend time in front of a computer. It may be for work or during leisure time. Spending time in front of a computer often leads to a sore neck, shoulders, midback or lowback. DescaidTM has a short instructional video to teach you what you can do to help avoid these aches and pains from computer time. It was created to allow you to stay focused on what you are doing, but give you subtle reminders to follow the stretches and movements taught in the video. You may choose from auditory or visual reminders and there is an acronym of the stretches and movements to make it easier to remember what to do. One of the great things about it is that you can stay focused on the computer AND take care of your body. It doesn’t take extra time out of your already full schedule and it automatically reminds you, so there is no trying to remember on your part. The movements and stretches work and now you can incorporate it with little effort!
“I hope that DescaidTM will become a natural part of your life, saving you from pain, missed work, and lost wages, and allowing more time and energy to do the things you enjoy.” – Dr. Blair

Working first as an occupational therapist and then as a chiropractor gives Dr. Blair a unique focus on treatment and preventative care. Her desire to improve patients’ quality of life through decreased pain, and an ongoing commitment to learning, inspired DescaidTM, a software that utilizes CAIDTM , designed to help with, and prevent, any aches and pains associated with computer use. When most people are on the computer working they get very focused on their work and they forget good posture and things they can do to prevent and decrease pain. One of the obstacles in patient’s follow through was remembering to do their prescribed treatment. Out of this awareness came the idea for DescaidTM, a reminder program to run on a person’s computer.
